Intern
An altar is that place where one draws near to God. The place we seek His face and wait on Him. Of all the things we do in our lives, this is “the one thing necessary” (Luke 10:42). The Altar Internship consists of 6 life-changing weeks designed with a mission, an outcome, and a context. 6 weeks to offer to Jesus no strings attached!
Seek
Discover roots, both physical and spiritual. We will seek the “God of our fathers” who “has never left us nor forsaken us.” What does it mean to be Armenian? What is our calling? What role do I play in the big picture? All these questions and more will be asked as we go to the undiscovered, deep places!
Serve
Serve others and be served. Throughout the internship, there will be regular times of spiritual impartation and instruction, as well as hands-on opportunities to serve the community. This includes practicing hospitality in the context of a cafe and christian bookstore called Altar Coffee and Books.
Consecrate
Amidst all the activity, the Altar Internship prioritizes one above all others…to sit at the feet of Jesus and seek His presence. We will practice what it means to be a priest who ministers before the altar. The Altar Internship is designed to be a set-apart time of consecration where interns will engage in a daily rhythm of worship and prayer.
